Contrast Studios is health and wellness brand that provides an experience focused on rejuvenating the customers mind and body. Created in Fall of 2023, I had the honor of helping build this brand from the ground up. It is a business partnership between the Chris Cicchinelli (CEO of Pure Romance), Patrick Coyne (Contrast Studios
Co-Founder), & Sam Hubbard (Cincinnati Bengals Defensive End). During my time with this brand, I created graphics, animations, website additions, produced photo/video, explored market research, and supported brand voice & development.

Design Objectives & Branding
Why not make the Contrast literal? By using strong color to emphasize from hot to cold we can invite consumers to imagine their experience in our studios. When creating assets, we chose to shoot video and photo from a documentary standpoint. Below is a preliminary moodboard before the initial photoshoots.
Spreading the Word
While strategizing a marketing campaign, it was decided we needed two billboards to introduce the public to the concept of Contrast Studios. Shortly thereafter these billboards went live, one month away from the big opening day, we had our first studio shoot. Below is my involvement in both of these processes.
Billboard Iterations
I was assigned this independent project and produced countless iterations over the course of a month. The main goal of this billboard was to communicate to consumers to enjoy their first session, on us! Below are various examples emphasizing different aspects of the Contrast Studios experience.
Final Billboards
These are the final two billboards. These were chosen due to the visuals of hot and cold, underscoring the experience of switching from the infrared sauna to the cold plunge.

Selling the Experience
After Contrast Studios launched to the public, the management and creation of the social media page was the top priority. Over the course of a year, I created over 140 story animations and social graphics, combined. On top of graphic creation, I researched the science behind Contrast Therapy in order to write and produce copy for a large majority of these posts.
Social Media Posts & Flyers
Below are various social media posts I have created for the Contrast Studios Instagram and Facebook pages. During my time, I created educational graphics, sale graphics, and informational posts all while cultivating a fun and inviting feed layout.
Animated Stories
On top of marketing on the consumers feed, I would create stories to push sales on memberships and the free session experience. With this brand comes a lot of User Generated Content (UGC) so the demand for story creation was lower in comparison to graphics.
Educational Way Finding
When designing the brand and its in person experience, it was decided that there was a need for educational way finding. These signs had two purposes, sales and education. When signing up for your free session, the employees would walk you through the science behind Contrast Therapy and how to use the studio. These signs were a method of education while guiding the consumer to their private studio.
Website Additions
The website was already created prior to the launch, but after evaluation, an informational page on the Infrared Sauna and the Cold Plunge was needed. Copy was provided to me, and I independently designed these additions while following the current look and feel of the website.
